Their vegan burgers are our not-so-guilty, non-fast-food fast-food pleasure (lol). The food is always freshly-made and consistently-delicious! I always get the junior jalapeno burger (I have a teeny adult stomach) and my husband always gets the vegan double cheeseburger. The burgers come with chips, which are too salty for my taste, so I just swap it with their yummy crisscut fries which we're always happy to pay a bit extra for. PS. It saddens me that "In & Out" across the street always has a long-ass line. Support "Vegetable" instead, a local business that doesn't serve meat!Better for you and the planet!

Wow was this place more expensive than I was expecting. *phew* It was good but not sure if it was entirely worth it? $50 for a double smash burger, vegan mac n cheese and a milkshake. I guess the tip added quite a bit to the final price, and not necessarily required, as the business only offers take out, not in person dining. But I try to help out small businesses in the service industry whenever I can so yolo. I didn't take any pics of the food because I was starving. BUT: The Vegan Mac- a little bland on flavor and the quinoa pasta definitely has more of a mushy texture than regular glutenous pasta. Would skip. The Bourbon BBQ Smash Burger- excellent flavor. Very filling. The rice bacon was a bit salty but surprisingly good. The burger patties were PAPER thin but also had really good flavor. All the other toppings really added a great finish to the burger too! $17 though.......... Kale Mint Chocolate Chip Shake- super sweet but really good. Couldn't really taste the kale. It was a thinner texture than a traditional dairy milk shake would be. It was also pretty large so definitely worth splitting with another person and slightly worth the $12.

Ok, hands down the best vegan mac and cheese in Los Angeles! I promise you, this was soooooo good, first bite I was immediately hooked. And get this: the noodles are made with QUINOA. So, I can literally eat this everyday is what I'm learning lol I also got the Kale and Avocado Quinoa salad which went perfectly with the mac and cheese. The homemade dressing was absolutely delicious and you can tell that this restaurant HAND MASSAGED the dressing into the kale. I don't think any other place even thinks of doing that ha! I can't wait to come back here and try some of their burgers! This place is absolutely #veggiebaeapproved

We got the five course Valentine's Day meal (prepared vegan) and it was spectacular! Start: - Wild Garden Tea: we got the three cup serving in a French press to share and it was the perfect amount to last us through dinner (and perfect because it was cold outside!) - Wild Mushroom Bisque: this was so heavenly smooth, hearty, and creamy. The soup is completely smooth except for small wild mushroom pieces. It's out of this world. - Roasted Vegetables Plate: really great mini platter of vegetables. Brussel sprouts, sweet potato, squash. Simple but delicious. - Nacho Cheesy Potato Au Gratin: I just call this "mac n cheese casserole, sub potatoes." Get this. - Spinach Lasagna Alfredo: somehow the chef makes it taste like something wildly healthy and wildly naughty at the same time. If you can't finish it, like I failed to do, it tastes even better the next day, as all true lasagnas do. One of my favorite things at Vegetable. - BBQ Roasted Cauliflower Wedge: Vegetable's housemade BBQ sauce is pretty special. It'll have someone like me - who HATES bbq sauce - scraping it off the plate. The cauliflower was cooked to perfection and the yukon potato and garlic mash was the star of the plate. - Sweet Potato Pie: I don't need non-chocolate desserts but this pie convinced me I need to reconsider my priorities. It's a Ratatouille fondest memory inducing of a childhood Thanksgiving. - Double Chocolate Brownie: this is me, this is who I am. This dish is mostly peanut butter ice cream, and that's the point. Best, creamiest ice cream on the planet (vegans for the win). The brownies are there to hold your hand through this mindblowingly happy experience. Vegetable is always amongst my top favorite dining experiences.

"Guilt-free and comfortable food' is the motto at Vegetable. And I would say they stay true to their vision 100%. I popped in on a Saturday afternoon in between visiting my mother and my hair appointment. Both of these events are stressful, so I was looking for a heathy meal and calming environment. And I found both. Vegetable is on Cahuenga, right after Ventura Blvd. ends. I parked on the street (one hour meter) right in front and entered a soothing environment. My server Lauren brought a bottle of water and a glass at once, which was welcome indeed in the summer heat. She answered all my questions promptly, responded quickly to any requests, and seemed to know the menu inside and out. She's clearly welcoming of diners with special dietary needs and was able to explain each dish thoroughly. I let her know that I would be cheating on my vegan diet but not by too much. She understood completely. I started with a French press dark roast coffee (espresso roast) with almond milk on the side. So adorable that it's accompanied by a timer to let you know exactly when to press for maximum flavor! The coffee was rich and flavorful. Then came the Maple Sriracha Hash, topped with an organic egg. What a delightful dish, full of umami flavors and served in its own hot skillet. The yams and potatoes combined for a chewy, rich texture that completely satisfies. I also ordered the Herbed Focaccia French Toast on Lauren's recommendation. Served with whipped cream, butter, maple syrup and compote, this is one of the best French toasts I've ever had. The combination of savory herbed bread with sweet toppings absolutely works. And I was shocked that this dish is vegan! I wasn't told what the bread was dipped in (house secret?) but whatever it is, it works. A note about the ambiance: it's quiet and calm. Big band, swing jazz was playing in the background at just the perfect volume. Vegetable would be the perfect brunch place for folks that actually want to have a conversation (and some good food!) (And thanks again to Lauren for a wonderful experience, even more since she seemed to be the only one on the floor!) PS I heard they allow BYOB? Call to verify. No alcohol on the menu.

Specializing in vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian dishes, Vegetable has carved out a niche that appeals not just to the health-conscious but to anyone seeking delicious and fulfilling meals.

As I entered Vegetable, the casual ambiance was inviting, with moderate noise levels perfect for both intimate dinners and lively group gatherings. The outdoor seating is a delightful touch, allowing you to savor your meal while soaking in the California sunshine. The restaurant is easily accessible, catering to a diverse clientele, including those with mobility challenges.

Now, let’s talk about the food—it's nothing short of innovative! The Smashed Cheeseburger showcases a house-ground Beyond Meat patty. You can opt for aged English cheddar or Violife vegan cheese, topped with caramelized onions, fresh tomatoes, and crispy lettuce. The addition of housemade pickles on the side adds a tangy crunch, perfectly accompanying the salt & pepper kettle chips that come with it. For a heartier option, don’t miss out on the Chili Cheeseburger, which elevates the traditional burger experience to new heights.

If you're leaning towards lighter fare, the Avocado Toast is a must-try. This dish is a medley of cherry heirloom tomatoes, crispy leeks, and a drizzle of balsamic reduction, all resting on a slice of sun-dried tomato focaccia bread. It's an explosion of fresh flavors that’ll have you coming back for more! And for those looking to indulge their sweet tooth, the Double Chocolate Brownie or the delightful PB&J Dessert offer guilt-free indulgence without sacrificing taste.

The feedback from fellow food lovers reinforces the essence of Vegetable. As one customer aptly noted, “The food is interesting and absolutely delicious.” Another delighted diner hailed it as “a not-so-guilty pleasure,” praising the freshness and consistent quality of the dishes. The commitment to using quality ingredients shines through every bite.

Vegetable not only prioritizes plant-based dining but also offers an inclusive experience. They accept various payment methods, including cryptocurrency. With options for takeout, delivery, and even catering services, this establishment ensures that no one has to miss out on the goodness. And let’s not overlook the fact that it’s dog-friendly, has gender-neutral restrooms, and provides Wi-Fi—making it a locale for everyone.

Whether you're stopping by for lunch, dinner, or happy hour specials, Vegetable is sure to impress. The combination of thoughtful menu design, welcoming environment, and a commitment to plant-based deliciousness makes it a standout in the crowded Los Angeles food scene.
